Worship is our individual and group response to God because of who God is. Worship is the only thing that we can give to God and it pleases Him. In Worship, God also responds to us for He desires to dwell in us so that we overflow with His presence. (Romans 12:1; I Cor. 3:16; II Cor. 6:16; John 7:38)

Therefore we are committed to the following at The Light:

1. God
   We understand that worship is about God and not about us. Therefore, we come with an attitude of giving and not just receiving.  (Psalm 29:2; I Chronicles 16:29; Psalm 96:8)
2. Encounter with God
   Create an atmosphere of worship to hear and experience God more intimately and know His love, grace, power, purposes and majesty. (Psalm 99:9; Isaiah 6:1-6, 8; Rev. 4:8)
3. Unity
   Higher levels of unity in the church will result in higher levels of worship. (II Chronicles 5;  John 17:23; Matthew 18:19-120; Acts 2:1)
4. Holy Spirit
   We allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in our worship, and to intervene at any given time to modify our plans. (I Chronicles 5; John 3:23-24)
5. Praise
   When we praise God through singing, verbal expressions, actions and attitude, He inhabits our praise and responds with His presence. (Psalm 22:3). Praise is both an action and attitude commanded by God to move us into worship. (Hebrews 13:15; Psalm 9:11; 34:1; 95:1-6; 100:4; I Thess. 5:18)
6. Multicultural Expression
   As a multi cultural church, we allow multicultural expressions of worship, and are not limited to one or even a few styles of worship. (Psalm 150
7. Freedom of Expression
   We have freedom in worship expressions, which can include dancing, flag waving, drumming, silence, and the use of a variety of instruments. (Exodus 15:20; Psalm 20:5; 47:1; 134:2; 149:3; 150:1-5)
8. One affects the Whole
   Personal participation affects the group worship. (I Cor. 12, 14)
9. Length of Worship
   The length of worship varies for we wait for the power of the Holy Spirit to be released. (2 Chronicles 5:13, 15; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8)
10. God touches
    Through worship, people are healed, encouraged, comforted, delivered. Issues are resolved, strategies are given, wisdom is bestowed, and corporate authority is released.  (Exodus 23:25; Psalm 107:19-21; Acts 16:23-26)
11. God speaks
    In worship, God reveals his nature and ministry to the corporate body (I Cor.12:7; 14: 26, 30)
12. God manifests
    In worship, God’s presence has various forms and manifestations. (Exodus 13:21,19:11-19; Deuteronomy 5:4-5, 22-27; Acts 2:1-4; Matthew 1:20; 2:13; 28:2; Acts 8:26; Rev.4:6-8, 5:8, 5:11, 7:11)
