Last weekend, I heard the most amazing story about the children and youth at the church and prophetic art. When we started the church two years ago, my wife Sharon started teaching the children how to hear from God, draw pictures as they felt led by God and then pray to give the picture away to someone in the worship service. Over the years, they have given hundreds of pictures away. We repeatedly hear from adults, many who are first time visitors who are blown away with the accuracy of pictures to their current life situation. These divine encounters of prophetic pictures seem to be a weekly occurrence.
Let me share three wonderful stories. About a year ago, we were praying for a visitor after the service. As we prayed for her, we sensed a yoke around her neck, like an oxen yoke. Amazing, a young boy unaware of what we were praying about walked by and he could see the yoke around her neck. He was seeing with spiritual eyes. As we prayed for her to be released from some issues, we kept encountering resistance. The lady mentioned that she kept seeing the color orange all week. Earlier in the service, a four year old girl who was visiting our church had painted a picture of a person in orange with a brown fixture surrounding the neck area. As we continued to pray, the little girl came up and handed us her picture. The lady broke into tears when she saw that the name of the little girl on her picture was also the name of her daughter and this was not a common first name. With amazement, we all saw the orange person with the brown yoke around the neck and it left us all a little speechless. We continued praying and there was a major release in the person.
A few weeks ago, another girl drew a picture of a coffee house and gave it to a visitor. Unknown to everyone, the girl worked at a coffee house. She was very touched by the picture and the encouraging words written on the picture.
Two Sundays ago, a young man drew a picture of a house and made a sign in front of the house that said “God’s realtor.” When he received the vision from God to draw this picture, a song was playing at the time, “All things are possible” and this was written on the picture. Another young lady prayed and gave the picture to Sharon C. These two young people were unaware of Sharon C’s long, difficult and complex process of deciding whether to sell her home or that she had just started working with a realtor. Sharon C was deeply touched and grateful for this divine message. Four days after receiving the picture, her house went on the market and she had two offers immediately. In the first four days of having her house on the market, a total of seven offers came in. In the past, many major events in Sharon’s life have come with the number seven. Three offers were over her asking price and she accepted an offer. Homes in this Los Angeles area have been on the market for months and Sharon C had seven offers in four days! Last Sunday during the service, Sharon C, Sharon, my wife, and the young man came forward and shared this amazing story. That is prophetic art!
